CBAA REPORTS ON COMMUNITY RADIO LISTENER SURVEY

The McNair Ingenuity Community Radio Listenership Survey results were released earlier this month at Parliament House and showed an increase from 47% of Australians (aged 15+) listened to community radio every month in 2006, to 57% in 2008.

Over 9.5 million Australians listen to community radio every month. Over 4.5 million are regular weekly listeners.

These results are important for listeners, supporters, government and sponsors to know and understand. They reinforce the popularity of community radio and underline the importance of community radio stations having equal access to spectrum in both analogue and digital broadcasting.

W & M COUNTRY MUSIC GROUP SURVEY OF HIGHLAND FM LISTENERS

Ten people set out from Camden to Goulburn to find out what the listeners thought. It is amazing that there was such a wide choice of music the listeners surveyed liked and they covered a large area. All of the shows Highland FM present are of a high standard but according to our listeners some shows stood out above the rest so congratulations to those Presenters for their excellent result. A trophy that was donated in memory of the late John Miller and inscribed with the winners names was presented by the Management at the recent AGM of the station.
