Step into the world of one of Australia’s most promising young flautists by experiencing the captivating music of Annabel Wouters. 

Overflowing with sparkling charm and youthful energy, Annabel, at the age of 16, commands attention as a versatile orchestral player, chamber musician and soloist. Additionally, Annabel’s achievements extend beyond the realm of flute performance, as she holds a Diploma in piano with Honors and demonstrates remarkable skill as a gifted composer.

This year, she is embarking on two international tours with ensembles from the esteemed Wollongong Conservatorium, alluring audiences in Indonesia and the United States.

Having been featured as a standout young artist in Inspire Music Australia’s, Emerging Concert Artist Series since 2022, Annabel exemplifies the programme’s mission of nurturing the next generation of artistic excellence.

Infusing her performances with youthful vigor, Annabel showcases her virtuosity through enchanting melodies, earning her a place among national orchestras and achieving top honors in the most challenging examinations. In 2023, her musical prowess was further recognised when she clinched the prestigious Wollongong Conservatorium Concerto Competition, alongside the accomplished collaborative pianist and educator, Lisa Baraldi.

Acknowledged for her outstanding achievements, Annabel was awarded a Distinction for her Associate Diploma in flute performance in 2023, where her mature presentation and impeccable technical prowess left an indelible mark. Praised for her ability to navigate diverse musical styles with finesse and expressiveness, Annabel’s performances are characterised by rich tonal colours, clear narrative arcs and an intriguing sense of musicality.

Highland FM’s 100% Home-Grown April Artist of the Month, Annabel Wouters embodies local talent, inspiring audiences with her exceptional musical gifts nurtured within our community. Her artistry is a testament to the vibrant creativity flourishing in our own backyard.

GARTH PRENTICE – ARTIST OF THE MONTH – JUNE

Garth Prentice, a dynamic singer-songwriter, vocalist and guitarist from Goulburn, NSW, infuses his music with a distinct country vibe, influenced by his upbringing in Tamworth. His years in Newcastle have further shaped his unique blend of Americana and blues styles. For over a decade, Garth has rocked audiences with his performances in pub bands and solo sets, seamlessly combining pop, blues, rock, country and funk.

His debut album, “Welcome to G-Town,” is now streaming on all platforms and he continues to drop fresh tracks throughout 2024. Beyond the studio, Garth shares his passion as a music educator, shaping aspiring musicians through guitar tuition and mentorship programs. Holding the reins as Head of Contemporary Music at the Hume Conservatorium, he’s been the driving force behind nurturing and unleashing the youth talent in the vibrant Goulburn scene.

Garth has shown his versatility through collaborations on albums with “The Mike Baker Organ Trio” and “Charlotte Lock.” Named the 2024 Artist in Residence for Southern Tablelands Arts and The Crisp Galleries, his creativity knows no bounds. Keep an ear out for Garth’s upcoming blues album, featuring musicians from the Hume Region in NSW.

Enter the enigmatic trio, Bald & The Beautiful, whose music outruns mere notes and chords. With a masterful blend of even tempered composure and tensioned restraint, their originality invites listeners on an odyssey through the depths of human experience.

Crafting secretive lyrical content from deep seated experiences, the band dishes out their messages over the grail of guitar, bass and drums with a sly finesse. Their music is a rollercoaster of emotions, ranging from pressurised intensity to charming allure, from shocking revelations to soul searching introspection, keeping you hooked at every twist and turn.

Bald & The Beautiful emerged from the fertile grounds of the vibrant 80s music scene, comprised of lifelong friends, Saul Burgess on vocals and lead guitar, Greg Whitford anchors the bass and David Sell fuels the drums. Absorbing influences ranging from Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Ian Dury and The Cure, they’ve sculptured a sound that’s impossibe to pin down, one that defies categorisation.

Reunited in 2016, their synergy has only deepened, resulting in a silent understanding that infuses their original music. With 100% Home-Grown authenticity, Bald & The Beautiful invite you to explore their sonic landscape, where every note reveals and every lyric evokes imagery.

Enjoy dinner and snacks from 5 pm to 8 pm with the full menu available. Order from the bar and your food will be delivered to your seat. Full bar and barista services are provided.

Purchase tickets for tables seating groups of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10, or single tickets with seating at bar tables. Meals available to order until 8.00pm.

Tickets may also be purchased at the door if not sold out beforehand.
