Co-op Growers Market runs every Thursday from 3pm to 5.30pm, bringing you fresh local goodness straight from our region’s growers. There is a great mix of stallholders on board, from the Southern Highlands Growers Group and well known local businesses to hobby farmers. You’ll find seasonal fruit and veggies, farm fresh meat and eggs, plants and flowers, honey, preserves, cheese, ready-made meals and plenty more. This isn’t just a market. The Railway Street Fresh Food and Produce Market is an authentic farmers market with an accent on primary produce (the freshest fruit and vegetables) grown locally using regenerative farming practices. Every month vintage car owners and enthusiasts in the Highlands gather to talk cars over coffee. They meet on the last Sunday at every month, 8am to 10am in Berrima. Roll up and check out an array of classic, vintage, veteran, sports cars and much more. You don't have to have a classic car of your own - all are welcome! This is a free community event with hot food and coffee available from the many shops and vendors in Berrima. So bring your classic car or just roll on down and have a chat to fellow enthusiasts!

Southern Highlands Evening Branch of the CWA of NSW was formed in November 2011 for women who preferred an evening meeting and to complement the day branches in the district. The branch has grown quickly into a dynamic and vibrant organisation representing a wide variety of ages, interests and skills. There is something for everyone. Interchange Adventures for teens is a peer-support program by Interchange Australia designed for young people with disabilities, offering monthly (first Saturday) supervised, high-energy activities like rock climbing, hiking, and theme park visits. Departing from Narellan and Bowral, it focuses on building confidence, independence, and social skills in a fun, NDIS-supported, and safe environment

The BGC meet at 2pm on the second Monday of each month (except June and December, when they meet on the first Monday). The BGC are a group of like minded people who love to learn and share ideas and plants. Fusion Art Group are a collective of women from the Southern Highlands with varying styles , techniques and subject matters, who love the camaraderie of painting and creating together.

These creative friends started painting as a group in 2001 and have regularly laughed, chatted and encouraged one another ever since. Their styles and interests are diverse and the friendships established now extend well beyond their artistic practice which has culminated in a group show:

Wingecarribee Libraries is thrilled to host bestselling author Penelope Janu in discussion of her latest novel 'Out of the Blue'!

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing in Mittagong Library after the talk.

'Out of the Blue' is a rural romance by award-winning Australian author Penelope Janu. The novel explores courage, healing and unexpected love. It follows Flick Atherton, a wildlife researcher working with migratory birds, who takes an assignment in the sub-Antarctic. There she clashes with Sebastien Thorsen, a driven Norwegian air-force pilot leading the UN environmental team. As they work in a close-knit, isolated community, both are forced to confront personal fears and past trauma, leading to an unexpected connection. Back home, Flick must decide whether she can move beyond her past and embrace love.

This market is set in the grounds of the iconic Moss Vale Showground, a beautiful location with shady trees and an undercover area, and features many local artisans with handmade craft, jams, relishes, soaps, candles, giftwares and art.  Come down wander through the grounds and grab a coffee, freshly baked breads, street foods, pastries and fresh flowers. The Moss Vale Rotary are often there raising much needed funds via gold coin donation at the main gate and also operate their canteen with Devonshire teas and a BBQ. The Kangaroo Valley Artists Collective consists of 19 artists working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, printmaking, mixed media and cordwaining. While styles and mediums differ, members are united by a commitment to creative growth contributing to the cultural life of the Valley.  A joint exhibition at Bowral Art Gallery in June 2026 – is a significant milestone and an opportunity to showcase the remarkable breadth of talent emerging from Kangaroo Valley.

The exhibition runs from the 25th to the 30th June 2026.
