Land Abounds @ Ngununggula

Abdul-Rahman and Abdul Abdullah are highly regarded in their own right but are rarely presented side by side. Ngununggula invites the brothers to present alongside an acclaimed Australian artist that has had a significant influence on their practice. Acclaimed artist Tracey Moffatt AO has long been this influence. Moffatt, known well for striking a chord with her views, boldly positions issues of race, identity, and sexuality within historical and present-day cultural politics. With this grouping of artists, their work draws on collective memory and experience, unpacking how the representation and perpetuation of culture, knowledge, and tradition can be transferred through storytelling. Entry is free and the gallery is open daily 10am to 4pm.

Working Bees – Caring for Bundanoon Town Gardens

The Bundanoon Garden Club began in 1970 as the Bundanoon Beautification and Garden Club.  The original 23 members wanted to beautify the village by creating public gardens and planting trees. Fifty years later, members of the club still meet every month to enjoy a friendly hour or two of light gardening and weeding and maintain some of the gardens in Bundanoon.  Join them at the Garden of Memories at 8am on the 3rd Thursday of every month. The club also cares of Nancy Kingsbury Park and the Memorial Gardens.

Bundanoon Highland Gathering

The Bundanoon Highland Gathering began on 21 October 1978 with a principle aim of raising funds for local charities and bring tourists to Bundanoon and the Southern Highlands, benefiting local businesses, guesthouses and hotels. The organising committee is thrilled to be bringing the event back to the Highlands in 2022, rescheduled to 6th August after adverse weather impacted the original date in April. There will be Scottish Country and Highland Dancing, Pipe Bands, Highland Games and plenty of other entertainment and stalls! Tickets can be purchased via the webpage (link below), and the schedule for the day can be viewed on their Facebook page here.
