Artist of the Month: Dave Debs
100% Home-Grown Artist Of The Month is Southern Highlands’ based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Dave Debs.
Throughout the month, Highland FM 107.1 will showcase a selection of Dave’s music including the infectious tune ‘Sleeve’ from his third studio album “Can’t Fool The Moon’ and his latest rhymed blues ballads ‘Rock and Roll Romance’, ‘Running Around’ and ‘Walk Right Through’ all recorded in the studios of Highland FM.
Southern Highlands singer/songwriter Dave Debs has been performing professionally on the Australian music scene for over 30 years. He has amassed around 6000 live performances and has three acclaimed albums of original songs.
Described by music writer Jon Farkas as “…..one of the finest songwriters we have in the country….” (Australian Capital News).
Dave Debs blends influences of roots country/blues, folk and soul into his own distinctive style, a blend that has seen him collaborating with some of Australia’s finest musicians including Dan Rumour (The Cruel Sea) , Chris Bailey (The Angels, GangGajang) , multi-instrumentalist George Washingmachine and legendary guitarist Tim Gaze. He has also performed as support for international acts such as Kevin Welch, Ralph McTell, Kinky Friedman and others.
Dave is currently working on recording a fourth album of original songs in his own inimitable style that trends blues and soul.
