Artist of the Month
Highland FM’s 100% Home-Grown feature artist is Sara Berki.
Sara Berki is a Southern Highlands-based country singer-songwriter with the voice of angel and songs to melt the hardest of hearts. At 24, she is on the verge of releasing her debut Heartline EP, recorded by Simon Johnson at his Hillbilly Hut studio on the Central Coast.
Starting playing guitar at age 8, music has always been a big part of Sara’s life. It’s only this year that she made the life changing decision to pursue a career in music. Already she has been endorsed by Takamine guitars and Pro Music Australia and she is on the line-up for Tamworth Country Music Festival in January. With the release of her debut EP planned for early next year, 2022 looks set to be a big year for Sara.
Highland FM was lucky enough to have her in the studio to record 9 songs recently, and we were blown away by her natural talent. We’re thrilled to be able to share Sara’s music with you here for the first time, before the rest of the world catches on. Highland FM is dedicated to supporting local emerging artists, and we couldn’t be happier to have Sara Berki as our December artist of the month.
Key Highlights
Sara has already worked with some of Australia’s finest country artists, including 2021 Golden Guitar APRA AMCOS song of the year winner Shane Nicholson.
Sara will be performing live at the 100% Home-Grown concert at Bowral Bowling Club on Saturday 4 December.
