Join the Wingecarribee Shire Council in celebration of National Reconciliation Week from Wednesday, 27th May – Wednesday, 3rd June 2026. National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
Highlights across the week include:
‘All In’ Atrium Exhibition
Student artworks from local schools will be on display at Moss Vale Civic Centre from Wednesday 27 May to Wednesday 3 June 2026. Featuring individual and collaborative entries from Council’s National Reconciliation Week art competition, the exhibition explores what reconciliation means through the eyes of local young people.
Library Storytimes and Turtle Weaving
Families are invited to enjoy National Reconciliation Week-themed Storytimes at Moss Vale and Mittagong Libraries on Thursday 28 May, and Bowral Library on Friday 29 May. Turtle Weaving drop-in craft activities will also be available at all library branches throughout the week. No bookings required
Wingecarribee Reconciliation Day
Council is proudly partnering with Highlands Community Centres, with support from Creative Space, Highlands Youth Centres, NIAA and St Vincent de Paul Society, to host a free community cultural day on Wednesday 27 May.
Starting at the Wingecarribee Aboriginal Community Centre in Mittagong from 9am, the day includes travel to Oxley Hill Lookout and Casburn Park, Wingello, for cultural activities, connection and lunch.
