Sunday Sessions Jazz at The Hastings – Bowral Golf Club on Sunday 12 July features Sydney-based five-piece jazz band Chasing the Moon.

Inspired by the romantic and swinging sounds of Hot Club Jazz, Chasing the Moon creates a delicious feast of heart-thumping swing, incorporating Latin, blues and modern sounds. They have released two CDs, ‘Nuages’ and ‘Ooh La La’, both of which have received airplay on ABC Jazz, 2MBS-FM and Eastside Radio.

The group is led by vocalist and violinist Kathy Bluff alongside saxophone/flute player Paul Burjan, with well-respected Sydney jazz guitarist John Blenkhorn on rhythm and solos, Garry Steel on piano accordion for that essential Parisian ambience, and Merv Sequiera laying down the grooves on double bass.
